We are interior decorators working across Nairobi and Kenya, dressing spaces that are already built. Decoration is the sister service to our residential and commercial interior design. The difference is simple: design shapes the space, decoration finishes it. Many clients come to us for decoration first, then ask us to take on bigger changes once they see what a considered room looks like.
Decoration vs design — which one do you need?
If your problem is the layout, the joinery or the lighting positions, that is a design job. If the bones are fine and the room just feels flat, unfinished or mismatched, that is decoration. A quick test: would you need to move a wall, a socket or a cabinet to fix it? If no, decoration will get you there for a fraction of the cost.

- Colour and finish direction. Wall colours, feature finishes and a palette that holds the whole home together instead of room-by-room guesswork.
- Furniture layout and sourcing. Re-planning what goes where, then sourcing the right pieces — at the right scale — at trade prices.
- Soft furnishings. Curtains, blinds, rugs, cushions and upholstery that add the texture a bare room is missing.
- Lighting layers. Swapping a single ceiling light for layered task, ambient and accent lighting that changes how a room feels at night.

What interior decoration costs in Kenya
Decoration is lighter than a fit-out because you are not rebuilding anything. Two numbers matter: the pieces you buy, and the decorator's fee to plan and install them.
- Single-room restyle: KES 80,000–300,000 including soft furnishings, lighting and accessories.
- Whole-apartment decoration: KES 400,000–1.5M depending on how much furniture is bought new.
- Short-let / Airbnb styling: from KES 150,000 for a photo-ready, guest-proof finish.
- Styling plan only: a flat package if you want the direction and shopping list and would rather buy and place things yourself.

How a decoration project runs
- 1. Visit and brief. We see the room, understand how you use it and agree a budget.
- 2. Styling direction. A palette, layout and moodboard so you approve the look before anything is bought.
- 3. Source and buy. Furniture, soft furnishings, lighting and accessories, ordered at trade prices.
- 4. Install and style. We deliver, place and style everything, then hand back a finished room.

Interior decoration FAQ
What is the difference between an interior designer and an interior decorator?
A designer plans the space itself — layout, joinery, lighting, how the room is built. A decorator works with a space that already exists and makes it look and feel finished: colour, furniture, curtains, rugs, art and styling. We do both, so if a project turns out to need structural changes we can pick that up too, and if you only need the finishing layer we stay there.
How much do interior decorators charge in Kenya?
A decoration-only project is usually far lighter than a full fit-out. A single-room restyle — paint direction, soft furnishings, lighting and accessories — commonly runs KES 80,000–300,000 including the pieces. A whole-apartment decoration, furniture and styling included, typically lands between KES 400,000 and KES 1.5M depending on how much is bought new. The decorator's fee is usually a flat package for small jobs or 10–15% of the spend on larger ones.
Do I need a decorator if my house is already built and furnished?
Often yes. Most rooms that feel 'off' are structurally fine — they just have the wrong layout, flat lighting or furniture that fights the space. Decoration fixes exactly that without a renovation: re-planning the layout, layering light, adding the right textiles and editing what you already own before buying anything new.
Can you decorate a rental or short-let?
Yes, and it is one of the most common briefs we get. For rentals and Airbnb short-lets we style for photos and durability — pieces that look good on camera, survive guests, and lift the nightly rate. We can work to a fixed budget and a fast timeline.
Do you supply the furniture and accessories, or just advise?
Either. We can hand you a styling plan and shopping list to action yourself, or source and install everything for you at trade prices. Most clients want us to buy, deliver and style so the room is finished in one go.

Our studio is in Westlands, Nairobi and we decorate across the city — Kilimani, Lavington, Karen, Runda, Muthaiga and beyond — plus projects elsewhere in Kenya where the scope justifies the travel.
