Epoxy Flooring in Kenya

Hauzisha Interiors has installed epoxy floor systems across Kenya since 2019. We prepare the substrate and apply seamless resin floors for homes, offices, retail units, garages, kitchens and hospitals throughout Nairobi and the wider country, and because we run a full interior design studio from our Westlands base, we match the floor to the rest of the space rather than treat it as a standalone job. Epoxy flooring in Kenya starts at KES 2,500 per square metre, and every project begins with a free consultation and a site inspection.

What epoxy flooring is and what we offer in Kenya

Epoxy flooring is a seamless resin coating applied over a concrete substrate to create a hard, non-porous, chemical-resistant floor with no joints for dirt to collect in. We handle the full job in Kenya: a survey of the existing slab, grinding and repair of the substrate, primer, the epoxy build coats, and a sealing top coat. We install standard epoxy coatings for garages and warehouses, self-levelling epoxy for offices, showrooms and kitchens that need a flat mirror finish, and 3D or decorative epoxy for statement floors in retail and homes. For hospitals and food areas we apply hygienic anti-slip systems that wash down easily, and for domestic spaces we tune the colour, gloss level and slip rating to the room. Because the condition of the concrete drives how much preparation each floor needs, we quote after inspecting the slab rather than pricing blind.

What epoxy flooring costs in Kenya

Epoxy flooring in Kenya costs KES 2,500 to 6,500 per square metre installed, depending on the system. A standard epoxy coating runs KES 2,500 to 3,500 per square metre and suits garages, warehouses and workshops. Self-levelling epoxy runs KES 3,200 to 4,500 per square metre and gives the flat, high-gloss finish offices, showrooms, kitchens and hospitals need. Decorative and 3D epoxy runs KES 4,000 to 6,500 per square metre for retail and statement floors. The final figure depends on the area in square metres, the condition of the existing concrete and how much grinding and repair it needs, the number of build coats and the finish you choose, so we give a fixed KES quote after inspecting the slab. Our epoxy flooring process

  • Consultation and inspection. We visit your Kenyan site, measure the area and inspect the concrete for cracks, moisture and contamination so we can price the correct system.
  • Surface preparation. We diamond-grind or shot-blast the slab, repair cracks and holes, and prime the surface. This step decides how well the floor bonds and how long it lasts.
  • Application. We apply the epoxy build coats and, where specified, decorative layers and an anti-slip top coat, working to an even thickness across the floor.
  • Curing and handover. The floor cures over the recommended time before we hand it back. Light foot traffic is usually possible within about a day, with full chemical and load resistance after roughly seven days.

Why choose our epoxy flooring team

We are a full interior design studio, not only a flooring contractor, so your epoxy floor is specified to sit with the whole space, from the commercial fit-out to the finishes. We have designed 120+ spaces across Nairobi, hold a 4.9 star average rating, and can turn around a first concept in seven days. We prepare the substrate and apply the resin as one team, so you deal with a single point of contact from inspection to handover, and we work across both residential and commercial projects.

Epoxy flooring FAQ

How much does epoxy flooring cost per square metre in Kenya?

Epoxy flooring in Kenya costs KES 2,500 to 6,500 per square metre installed. Standard coatings run KES 2,500 to 3,500, self-levelling epoxy KES 3,200 to 4,500, and 3D or decorative epoxy KES 4,000 to 6,500 per square metre. We give a fixed KES quote after inspecting your slab.

What types of epoxy flooring can I get in Kenya?

We install standard epoxy coatings for garages and warehouses, self-levelling epoxy for offices, showrooms, kitchens and hospitals, and 3D or decorative epoxy for retail and statement floors. Anti-slip and hygienic systems are available for wet and food areas.

How long does an epoxy floor take to cure?

An epoxy floor takes about seven days to reach full chemical and load resistance. Light foot traffic is usually possible within roughly a day of the final coat, though timing depends on the system and site temperature.

Is epoxy flooring durable?

Yes. Epoxy flooring is a hard, seamless, non-porous surface that resists chemicals, abrasion and heavy loads, which is why it is used in garages, warehouses and hospitals. Its lifespan depends heavily on how well the concrete substrate was prepared, which is why we grind and repair the slab before coating.

Do you install epoxy floors for homes as well as commercial spaces?

Yes. We work on both residential and commercial projects, from home garages and kitchens to offices, retail units, warehouses and hospitals across Kenya. The system and finish are matched to how the floor will be used.
