Epoxy flooring is a seamless resin coating applied over a concrete substrate to create a hard, non-porous, chemical-resistant floor with no joints for dirt to collect in. We handle the full job in Kenya: a survey of the existing slab, grinding and repair of the substrate, primer, the epoxy build coats, and a sealing top coat. We install standard epoxy coatings for garages and warehouses, self-levelling epoxy for offices, showrooms and kitchens that need a flat mirror finish, and 3D or decorative epoxy for statement floors in retail and homes. A standard epoxy coating runs KES 2,500 to 3,500 per square metre and suits garages, warehouses and workshops. Self-levelling epoxy runs KES 3,200 to 4,500 per square metre and gives the flat, high-gloss finish offices, showrooms, kitchens and hospitals need. Decorative and 3D epoxy runs KES 4,000 to 6,500 per square metre for retail and statement floors. The final figure depends on the area in square metres, the condition of the existing concrete and how much grinding and repair it needs, the number of build coats and the finish you choose, so we give a fixed KES quote after inspecting the slab. Our epoxy flooring process

• Consultation and inspection. We visit your Kenyan site, measure the area and inspect the concrete for cracks, moisture and contamination so we can price the correct system.
• Surface preparation. We diamond-grind or shot-blast the slab, repair cracks and holes, and prime the surface. This step decides how well the floor bonds and how long it lasts.
• Application. We apply the epoxy build coats and, where specified, decorative layers and an anti-slip top coat, working to an even thickness across the floor.
• Curing and handover. The floor cures over the recommended time before we hand it back. Light foot traffic is usually possible within about a day, with full chemical and load resistance after roughly seven days.
